[ portfolio: ceramic chevron box ]
Piece: Chevron Ceramic Box, Raku
This is a raku piece I did a few months ago that I'm particularly in love with! All of that gridding, measuring, and tedious work paid off.
At some point perhaps I'll start making more things like this - perhaps an Etsy shop too?

[ website revamp ]
I haven't been posting much lately, mostly due
to the fact that I've been insanely busy revamping
my portfolio book and websites. My physical book,
website, and Etsy shop are all undergoing a little facelift.
I'm switching over from a classic HTML site to a database driven
php WordPress site. I'm hoping that the transition will go smoothly,
and that the new slick look will really catch future employers
(and customers) eye. With a little help from a good friend and
some serious (yet constructive) criticisims from sister, I'm
excited to see my end results!

[ art walk weekend ]
This past weekend was a busy one!
I spent most of my Saturday printing and
preparing for an art walk on campus for our
annual Family Weekend. I spent my evening
advertising the Fine Arts major and selling cards.
After printing, folding, labeling over 150 cards
my lame little arms were sore from operating our
huge cutting board! How pathetic is that? I need to
get away from my desk and do something physically
productive every once in a while ... gosh.
That's embarrassing.
Well, after all of that I sold one, that's right, uno,
set of cards and got several parents very interested
in photography classes for their bambinos!
Not too shabby.
ps. These cards are available for purchase on my Etsy.

portfolio peak
Here's a little sneak-peak at my new portfolio:
... and there it is. Well, at least some of its contents.

[ etsy finds ]
I really like Toon Design's Etsy shop,
wouldn't these be great bridesmaid clutches?
Flowered Sky Beads has some cool pins for clutches.
Perhaps a fun addition to all of those cloth purses I've got?

ps. Today, I opened my own Etsy shop.
